Well faithful readers… If you’re still checking up on lil ol’ Clarabella, you really are faithful. I’m sorry that I’ve been so absent this past month. It’s been a whirlwind of activity and I owe you all a little more in the way of explanations, goodbyes, and stories. Clarabella’s last day was Friday! It’s been a little emotional… a little more difficult than I’d anticipated, but I know in my heart of hearts that I’ve made the right decision. I spent all day yesterday with my mom and my Aunt, packing up my lovely Williamsburg apartment. Today, we focus on the shop. Amazingly, there isn’t that much to do as you all jumped on the super sale I’ve been having. I have precisely 4 pairs of shoes, 1 bag and 10 pieces of jewelry left at Clarabella. Pretty amazing if you ask me! All the same, we’ll be packing up the little shop that could today and moving her into a 16′ moving van tomorrow, along with all of my life’s possessions. Tuesday marks the drive to Maine and the start of my new life in Portland. I’m both excited and terrified. I’ve always been a fan of change, and have moved plenty of times in the past, but this will be the biggest one yet. I have lots to say about it all and will be keeping this blog going. The layout may change a bit. I plan to focus on independent designers, music and life in Portland, so if that all still interests you, keep checking back. Or maybe you’d just like to say hi every now and then… like checking in on an old friend. That’s ok too;). So, bye for now.
